I kicked off my CIAA weekend Thursday night (March 3rd) at a great fashion show/music mixer at the Loft downtown Charlotte. The clothes were designed by Ruby Jones and her Sadity Kitty clothing line. The music included DJ AI spinning and live performances with singers and rappers. One female R&B singer that was a great performer caught my eye (feature article soon) and the male singer was King Carter singing his single Love Potion No. 5. Another favorite of mine rapper Define Jones (below) freestyled on the mic. I saw him open up for Big Krit and Wiz Khalifa at the Wake and Bake tour in Winston-Salem, NC last year. The whole event was put together by the one and only Madame Vonne. Check out the full article by Wynter Spring here.

The rest of my weekend was spent party hopping. Friday night I ended up at Club Onyx, one of the wildest strip clubs I’ve ever been to. I loved it! The ladies were talented with tricks, acrobatics, and bodies you wouldn’t believe. Dollars everywhere, wings and drinks flowing, and hype music – what more you could ask for in a strip club? The VIP included rappers Fabolous and Meek Mill who came after a club appearance at The Tent. It was like the Charlotte version of King of Diamonds!
Saturday night was celeb studded with my homies Wiz and Wale with Rick Ross at Club 935. It went down! All my Wale fans missed out if you weren’t at CIAA he hosted events from Wednesday-Saturday (and remembered me from his show at WSSU calling me Wake Forest!) It was definitely a celebration for Wale and Meek Mill signing to Rick Ross’s group Maybach Music. For all of you who missed it you HAVE to check out the video on Rick Ross’ blog to see how we did it for CIAA!
